What is a data management plan (DMP)?

Answer

A data management plan or DMP is a formal living document which outlines the management and stewardship of data both during a research project and post project. It describes the organisation, storage, preservation and potential sharing of research outputs as FAIR and/or Open Data and should be updated regularly throughout the research lifecycle.
