What is the re-shelving area?

Answer

The re-shelving area is where recently returned books are taken before they are placed back on the shelf.

  • Q+2 has a dedicated re-shelving area on the western side of the building, near the group study room. (Map?)

  • Q+1 and Q+3 have re-shelving trollies located in the same area on those floors.

  • Re-shelving areas also contain books which have been collected from study desks.

  • Staff sort the books onto trollies and then put them back on the relevant shelf location.
