What are Official Publications?

Answer

The Official Publications Collection (OPC) contains publications produced by government and organisations associated with government such as official bodies and regional and national organisations. UCC Library holds Irish materials - Irish Official Publications have the prefix IRL and Northern Ireland Official Publications NI. Some of these collections are located in the Library Store and requests can be placed on individual titles via the library catalogue.

Many official publications are now freely available online. Publications from the European Union are now primarily accessible online through Europa, the official portal of the EU, which provides information published by all EU institutions.

The Official Publications Collection (OPC) is located on Q+2 in the Boole Library . Material in this section is for reference only and cannot be borrowed.
