How can I connect my laptop to the screen in a Group Study Room?

Answer

There are 14 Group Study Rooms in Boole Library and 2 Group Study Rooms in Brookfield Health Sciences Library with a slight difference in how to connect to the screen.

Group Study Rooms B.12, G.06, G.18, 1.04, 2.09 and 3.04 in Boole Library have Auto-on:

Plug the USB-C connector into the laptop. For HDMI, remove the USB-C adapter from the end of the cable before connecting.

The screen will turn on automatically after a few seconds.

In Group Study Rooms G.05, 1.05, 1.06, 2.04, 2.05, 2.06, 3.05, 3.06 in Boole Library and G.34 and G.35 in Brookfield,  the screen is powered on using the wall panel controller:

Plug the USB-C connector into the laptop. For HDMI, remove the USB-C adapter from the end of the cable before connecting.

Using the wall panel controller, press the ON button to power on the screen (red light on screen side will turn green). Make sure that HDMI is selected as the connection type.
