Is there an area for silent study in UCC library?

Answer

Almost all reading rooms in the Boole library and all reading rooms in Brookfield are areas for silent study. On Q+1 the reading room where the books are is not a silent study space.

  • You can use keyboards and devices.
  • Please keep phones on silent and leave the reading room to make or receive calls.
  • If you are listening to music on headphones, keep the volume low, so it does not disturb others.
  • If you need to talk in a group, there are Group Study Rooms for group work (minimum 3 people), which can be booked online.
  • The Creative Zone on Q floor is available for drop in group work/collaborative work. no booking required.  You can use a white board there or cast your laptop screen onto a larger screen.
