A lot of books have different coloured labels/stickers/bands on their spines to indicate their loan rule (whether and for how long they can be borrowed)
No Label Standard loan book (6 weeks)
White Label Standard loan. These were put on to cover old labels.
Yellow Label Short loan book. (1 week)
White Reference Only Label Found on cover of book (cannot be borrowed)
